I woke up early in the morning. I couldn’t sleep. It was still dark. I looked at the time and guessed the sun will rise in a few minutes. I got out on the balcony. It was a warm summer morning, and I haven’t seen a sunrise for long time. A pigeon was flying to its nest, right above my balcony. I watched it flap its wings. It seemed like it was moving in slow motion. I wondered how long it will take to finally arrive at its nest. It appeared to me that with each flap, the sky got brighter and brighter.
The pigeon finally settled down in its home. The sun had risen. And I was ten feet up in the air.
